- Can you feel spring in the air?
Though the groundhog says
we're in for a bit longer winter, and the thermometer plays the game of chutes
and ladders, signs of a Carolina spring blossom and grow with every walk.
The
flowers are ignoring the warnings that frost may come again and nip the buds and
deny the fruit. And the sun shines in spite of a chill. Some days our scarves
are on, and gloves cover still chilled fingers. But we can feel it warming, hear
the Spring Peepers in deafening chorus and touch the soft carpet of moss slowly
creeping over the crumbling leaves turned fodder.
